£7,100 Compensation for Accrington Man after Work Accident
A man from Accrington, Lancashire has been awarded £7,100 compensation after he was injured in an accident at work.
He was employed by a company which produced paper. He was required to carry barrels of flock upstairs to the hopper. The buckets measured 80cm in height by 40cm in diameter. Having emptied the barrel, he was on his way down the stairs when his foot slipped off the end of a step which resulted in him twisting his left knee. He had been carrying the barrel in both hands and had therefore been unable to make use of the handrail. As a result of the accident he suffered from torn ligaments in his left knee which required surgery. He suffered from the effects of the accident for 12 months.
Shortly after the accident he approached our Accident Claim Solicitors about claiming compensation for his personal injuries. After a free consultation with Leonie Millard, an Accrington based Solicitor; the claim was dealt with on a No Win No Fee basis.
