Accident compensation latest news and articlesMan breaks tooth eating bread07 January, 2010 When a man bought a loaf of bread from his local supermarket he could not have imagined that it would result in a trip to the dentist. That is exactly what happened to the 58-year-old man, who, having purcased the loaf, bit into a slice only to discover a piece of glass embedded in the bread. The glass completely sheered a cusp of an upper molar tooth. Experiencing a night of toothache, the man managed to arrange an appointment to see a dentist the next day. Substantial repair was required to restore the tooth. The Claimant was awarded £200 for the pain and discomfort and a further £105 for the cost of the dental work.
