Police officer injured during car chase

07 January, 2010

A 38-year-old man was awarded compensation following a road traffic accident, leaving him with head and spinal injuries.

In November 2006, the man who was a police officer had been driving a police car when it was hit by a stolen vehicle that refused to stop.

He suffered from painful headaches for six months following the crash, whereas his back injuries continued for up to sixteen months after the accident.

He received compensation in the sum of £3,500 for his injuries, plus an extra £500 for out-of-pocket expenses that he had incurred as a result of the accident.
