Road Traffic Accident victim received £3,250

25 September, 2009

A 32-year-old man received £3,250 in compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenity following a road traffic accident which occurred in August 2006.

The man had been driving his motor vehicle when the Defendant, driving in the opposite direction, suddenly lost control of his vehicle and swerved into the path of the Claimant's vehicle, causing a head-on collision.

Fortunately he merely suffered soft tissue injuries to his neck and hip. He made a full recovery from those injuries 14 months after the accident.

The Claimant alleged that the Defendant was negligent for failing to maintain adequate control of his vehicle and causing the head-on collision. Liability was admitted by the Defendant's insurance company.

Over the years, Forbes' specialised Personal Injury departments have handled a number of road traffic accidents such as this.
