Haslingden Women Gets £1,600 Compensation after Work Accident
A catering assistant from Haslingden, near Accrington who was injured in an accident at work has been awarded £1,600 compensation.
She was refilling a vending machine when an audio speaker which had been placed on top of the machine fell off in her direction. She managed to put her arms above her head to protect herself, but in doing so suffered an injury to her wrist. She suffered from a soft tissue injury to her left forearm and wrist with associated bruising and swelling.
