£2,800 Compensation Awarded After Accident In A Public Place

A 68 year old man from Church  was awarded £2,800 following an accident in a public place.

He was injured whilst enjoying a day out at Accrington Carnival where  he had been looking at a stall which was set up on Accrington and Rossendale College car park.  He was stood on a grassed area when his left foot went down a hole, causing him to fall forward to the floor.  He suffered bruising and grazing to his left shin which was aggravated by his diabetes, resulting in an infection.  The pain lasted 9 months with scarring that would improve within a year of the accident.

On this basis and with the assistance of John Bennett, a specialist personal injury solicitor, he made a successful claim for compensation in the sum of £2,800.
